Deck Maker and this website (theunintended.me) are made by Intended Future AB, a company registered in Sweden (Anders Carlssons Gata 30, 417 55 Göteborg), operating here as The Unintended. Intended Future AB is the data controller under the GDPR. Contact: info@intendedfuture.se.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts.
Two things do happen when you visit: the site is served by GitHub Pages, which keeps standard web-server logs (IP address, browser, requested page) under GitHub's privacy statement, and your browser asks the GitHub API for the latest release number to show the version badge. We receive nothing from either.
The Deck Maker app
Deck Maker is local-first. Your decks, notes, prompts, images, and exports are files on your machine, and we cannot see them. When you author with a cloud engine, the app calls that provider directly with your own API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, or xAI, under that provider's terms), or your own local model, in which case nothing leaves your machine. API keys are stored in your operating system's keychain.
Anonymous usage statistics
The app sends us anonymous usage events so we can see whether Deck Maker works and is used:
- What: app installed, app launched, a daily active ping, deck created, deck exported.
- With: app version, operating system, processor type, and a random install id.
- Never: deck content, file names, prompts, keys, or anything that identifies you. IP addresses are not stored; location is kept only as a coarse server region.
- Off switch: Settings → Privacy in the app, any time.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding product usage (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). The data is anonymous and cannot be linked back to you by us. Usage statistics are kept for up to three years, then deleted.
Image-generation credits
AI image generation is an optional paid feature. Purchases run through Stripe's checkout; Stripe processes your payment details under Stripe's privacy policy. We receive the purchase confirmation and issue a license key, and we keep purchase records for as long as bookkeeping law requires. Generated images are created via our hosted service and are not stored by us beyond delivery.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, or withdraw consent, by writing to info@intendedfuture.se. We respond within 15 business days. Note that usage statistics are anonymous: if you want your install's rows deleted, include the install id shown in Settings → Privacy so we can find them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with an updated date. For everything Intended Future AB does beyond Deck Maker, see the Intended Future privacy policy.
